Hall of Fame

CACTE Hall of Fame

The CACTE Hall of Fame Awards Committee may induct up to three people each year into the Colorado Association of Career and Technical Education Hall of Fame. This is an effort by CACTE to recognize individuals who have made extraordinary contributions to the field as teachers and/or administrators, as well as persons who are not professional career-technical-vocational educators, but have made outstanding contributions to the Colorado Association for Career and Technical Education and career-technical-vocational education primarily in Colorado.

Purpose

To recognize individuals who have been or are currently residents of Colorado and have made significant contributions to CACTE and career-technical-vocational education over a period of time.

Qualification for Nomination

  1. Professional Career-Technical-Vocational Educators.
    • Persons who have served career-technical-vocational education as teachers and/or administrators for no less than 20 years or are retired, deceased or have left the profession honorably.
    • Must have been an active member of the professional organization directly concerned with their area of expertise, preferably associated with career-technical-vocational education.
    • Must have been an active member of CACTE.
    • Have made outstanding contributions to CACTE and career-technical-vocational education primarily in Colorado.
  2. Persons who have not earned their livelihood as professional career-technical-vocational educators may be nominated if:
    • Have made outstanding contributions to CACTE and career-technical-vocational education primarily in Colorado.
    • Engaged in activities other than professional career-technical-vocational education.

Application Procedures

  1. Include CACTE-ACTE-Member-Awards Application
  2. Be specific about your nominee’s qualifications. The more information you provide about your nominee, the better chance you have of placing a person in the “Hall of Fame” from your division
  3. Why you are nominating this person? (What impact did the nominee have on career-technical-vocational education in Colorado?)
  4. Education and/or training accomplishments (honoree/awards).
  5. Professional organizations (offices held, length of service, etc. including CACTE)
  6. Community Involvement (youth, church, etc.)
  7. Supporting letters of recommendation (maximum of seven, two required)
  8. A current photograph, color or black and white MUST be included
