We are pleased to announce our November CACTE Member of the Month….drumroll 🥁…… Stuart Deitrick, ACE Teacher at Rampart and Pine Creek HSs in Air Academy D20!! Here are all the great things the ACE Division shared about Stuart:

  • Mr Deitrick spent 10 years working as an engineer in the aerospace and environmental consulting fields before finding his way into the more personally-rewarding career of education.
  • Stuart’s first teaching assignment was at a small all-girls school in Kenya via the US Peace Corps.
  • He began working as a special education case manager and ACE Coordinator in Academy District 20 and caught the “CTE bug”, becoming passionate about career education for students with barriers to paid employment.
  • He especially enjoys seeing his students find success in community unpaid work experiences. Stuart currently teaches career education courses at Rampart High School and supports students at Pine Creek High School in various study hall classes.
  • Stuart advocates for ACE programming at both the local and state level. He supports the regional ACE advisory in Colorado Springs.
  • Mr Deitrick is working with Lauren Jones at the state level in developing curricular resources in his participation in the Monthly ACE Casual Curriculum Chats.

Congratulations, Stuart!! 🙂
