One of CACTE’s primary purposes is to provide professional development opportunities for its members. There is a face-to-face opportunity at the annual CACTE CareerTech Summit and also an online opportunity through CTE Learn.

CACTE CareerTech Summit

The annual CACTE CareerTech Summit is the premier opportunity for Colorado Career & Technical Educators at all levels to unite for professional development, networking and fun! Held in mid-July, the CACTE CareerTech Summit offers outstanding keynote speakers, a wide variety of breakout sessions, Division Spotlight for more specific content learning/sharing, the Excellence Awards Ceremony and networking as well as a chance to interact with the Colorado CTE State Office Staff. CTE Learn

Check out this professional development opportunity for CACTE members, which is an online learning portal with more than 180 courses to help you enhance your teaching and grow in your profession!

Colorado CTE Learn is our state association’s contribution to your online professional development. The full courses offered take approximately 4 hours each and come with a certificate of completion, recognized continuing education unit credit and the opportunity for college credit.

Additionally you’ll find a rich collection of free resources, including:

Tutorials developed by ACTE on a variety of CTE topics
A professional learning community to explore many instructional activities - Career Ed Lounge
An Individual Development Planner tool to help you structure and document your own professional growth
Workplace readiness modules for you and your students - Career Prepped

CACTE Professional Development Grant Available

The CACTE Professional Development Grant was created to support our members' ability to access professional growth opportunities. We know increasing our capacity and knowledge within the education system allows us to create systems to more holistically support our role and the stakeholders we work with. However, funds may not be readily available to you to allow you to participate in an event. This grant provides monies to meet or offset the cost of professional development opportunities. This includes, but is not limited to: National Policy Seminar, ACTE and CACTE professional growth opportunities/conferences and workshops. Those who are granted monies will be requested to share out to colleagues about their experience and what they learned to help market the potential for others to apply for this grant.
