Mary Krisko exemplifies exceptional dedication to Career and Technical Education (CTE) through visionary leadership, sustained service, and transformative impact across the CTE landscape. A long-standing Administration Division (CACTA) member of 11 years, Mary has demonstrated unwavering commitment to advancing high-quality, equitable CTE programming through her work in program development, regional collaboration, and professional leadership. Mary is the CTE Director for District 49.
Mary’s accomplishments include being named CACTE and CACTA Administrator of the Year (2023), receiving the Fantastic 49 District Award for contributions to CTE, and earning recognition as Counselor of the Month by CSCA. These honors reflect both professional excellence and systemic impact. She has led the development of a CTE center, launched CTE programming in Peyton, built multiple career pathways, and led innovative initiatives, resulting in being a Perkins Innovation Grant recipient, directly expanding access and opportunity for students.
Her leadership within CACTE and CACTA is extensive and sustained. Mary has served as a CACTA Board Member as the Hotel Liaison, was an active member of the CACTE Counseling Division, and has facilitated regional and state professional learning through multiple presentations, Region V tours for the MILL, and CACTE conference sessions focused on cross-district partnerships. She also leads regional collaboration through the Pikes Peak Regional CTE Leadership network and previously the manager for the Pikes Peak Regional Perkins Consortia, while fostering inter-district engagement through partnerships such as the annual D20 mini-CTE regional conference.
Mary’s visionary leadership, collaborative spirit, and commitment to systems-level impact continue to strengthen CTE across Colorado. Her work consistently advances access, innovation, and alignment between education and workforce systems, making her a highly commendable and exemplary CACTE Member of the Month, representing CACTA.
