CONGRATS TO CACTE'S FIRST LEGISLATIVE FELLOW!

Congratulations to Kory Shick, chosen as the first CACTE LEGISLATIVE FELLOW! Kory is starting a 2-year program in fellowship with the CACTE Legislative Committee to develop a strong understanding of state and national CTE policy. Thanks to the CACTE Legislative Committee for their hard work in creating this new opportunity!

From Kory's application letter: "To address the profound issues impacting CTE in Colorado, particularly in the area of providing accessible differentiated materials for students needing accommodations, my action plan during the CACTE Legislative Fellowship involves direct advocacy and collaboration with stakeholders. I will focus on promoting legislation that mandates comprehensive resources in CTE programs to ensure they cater effectively to all students, particularly those from special populations. This will involve engaging with lawmakers, educational leaders, and community advocates to underline the necessity of

such reforms."
