ACTE Quality Association Standards
Each year in October, Colorado ACTE is required to submit an annual report to ACTE to remain an affiliated state association. Part of the requirements is the State of the State report.
Your CACTE Executive Committee and Board have worked diligently to meet the requirements for the QAS. Colorado ACTE was selected as a 2025 QAS-Gold recipient.

What Are the Quality Association Standards (QAS)?
The Quality Association Standards (QAS) were created to help state ACTE associations ensure they are providing strong leadership, clear structure, and real value to their members. These standards serve as a guide for evaluating how well an association is organized and how effectively it serves its members.

By following the QAS, state associations can assess their performance and identify whether their programs and services meet — or exceed — expectations. The goal is to support continuous improvement and recognize associations that demonstrate excellence in serving their members and advancing career and technical education.
There are nine criterion use for evaluation:
-
Mission, Goals and Objectives
-
Governing Body, Officers, and Directors
-
Organizational Structure and Documents
-
Programs, Services and Activities
-
Financial Planning and Reporting
-
Membership Development and Retention
-
Communications
-
Public Policy
